COACHES FORUM WILL GIVE NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE WELLNESS AND LIFESTYLE COACHING FIRST HAND

Released on: March 6, 2008, 2:12 pm

Press Release Author: Ellen G. Goldman/ EnerG coaching, LLC

Industry: Healthcare

Press Release Summary: Livingston, NJ - Wellness and Lifestyle Coaching are emerging
new professions that many people have heard of, but few understand. Although
coaches are often referred to as "agents of positive lifestyle change", most
individuals do not comprehend how working with a coach can lead to forward movement
in areas of their life that they are feeling stuck or challenged. In an effort to
give New Jersey residents the opportunity to experience coaching first hand, Ellen
Goldman, of EnerG coaching, and seven other local coaches, will each present a topic
representing their specialty, giving participants the chance to feel what it is like
to be coached around the topic of their choice, at the March meeting of the Health &
Wellness Professional Network Organization (HWPN).

Press Release Body: Goldman will be doing a small group coaching session, presenting
"Mastering the Inner Game of Dieting". Other topics scheduled to be presented
include motivation to exercise, getting organized, work/life balance, stress
management, what to do after retiring, business communications, and etiquette.

The Coaches Forum will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 8:30-10:00 AM EST
at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club, 305 Ridgewood Road, South Orange, New Jersey. This
is the monthly meeting place of HWPN, an organization of practitioners, business
owners, and volunteers who help people thrive by promoting a healthy mind, body and
spirit. Members collaborate together to expand wellness choices, communicate and
educate their clients, communities and each other. Wellness Coach and Founder of
HWPN, Risa Olinsky. M.A. says, \"Our goal for this program is to raise public
awareness of coaching as a viable option to achieve positive life changes, both
personally and professionally. HWPN was created out of my desire to bring together
health and wellness professionals in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration
instead of competition. The Coaches Forum is just one example of the many
professional and community programs we offer.\" The fee for the Coaches Forum is $10
for HWPN members, and $20 for non-members, which includes a buffet breakfast.

Upon arriving, participants will be asked to choose a topic and will be directed to
that table to work in a small group setting. Unlike a lecture or class format, the
coaches will facilitate conversation around challenges and concerns surrounding the
topic chosen. Each person will leave with a vision for change and starting action
plan. Everyone will come together at the end of the sessions for an open discussion
around the experience of coaching, and for questions and answers.
